In the United States, transgender porn is significantly more popular in states and districts that vote Republican. Data from Google, Pornhub, and various porn aggregators show that the popularity of search terms such as "shemale," "tranny," "femboy," and "ladyboy" correlate strongly with support for Donald Trump and other Republican candidates, suggesting that the more conservative the state or district, the more obsessed its constituents are with transgender porn. Interestingly, these voting blocs also proposed and passed the most anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in recent years, and the popularity of trans porn has risen significantly in tandem with anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.*Sources: Lawsuit.org, Pornhub 2022 Year in Review, Pornhub Report - Transgender Searches, Them, Yahoo.com, Vice
Despite assertions by some media outlets that transgender people, immigrants, and others are more prone to gun violence than majority groups, research shows that the overwhelming majority of people who commit gun homicides are males who identify as men (i.e., cisgender men). Almost 86% of gun deaths between 1990 and 2021 were caused by men, with white males representing an absolute majority of perpetrators. While there is no broadly agreed-upon definition of 'mass shooting' across gun violence research, the Rockefeller Institute of Government finds that, per their definition of a mass shooting, more than 54% of perpetrators are white and more than 95% are male.By contrast, although trans people are just 1% of the US population, they represent a much smaller proportion of mass shooters - about 0.17% between 2018 and 2025, according to PolitiFact.Sources: Ammo.com, CDC, JAMA, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, KFF, National Library of Medicine, Pew Research Center, PolitiFact, Rockefeller Institute of Government
Puberty blockers are a safe, effective, and reversible treatment for a variety of conditions in prepubescent and pubescent youth, including gender dysphoria and precocious puberty. While more research is needed to understand the long-term effects of puberty blockers, researchers and healthcare providers generally agree that puberty blockers are an appropriate intervention for both cisgender and transgender youth who need them.Sources: American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Physiological Society, Cambridge University Press, Cedar Sinai Hospital, Fenway Health, Healthline, Oregon Health and Science University, Science for Georgia, The Guardian, The Lancet, The Mayo Clinic, WPATH and USPATH
